No, it's a Vent-A Hood brand. I agree that it's too big. However, if the stover were actually centered under it and you removed the lower panel that sits behind the stove AND it was properly painted.... it might be ok.

Hey Stoveman!! I think the green is beautiful!! The yellow is, too. (not that I'm biased or anything)

Now, $1100, on the other hand, is just silly. Half price, though, would be pretty reasonable if it's in nice shape.

I can't understand why the pastels aren't as popular as the red and black. I think that keeping one of the dark colors looking clean could be a real pain, especially the black!

It's not That I don't like the pastels. I think the yellow is the best color, But from sales experience, I Could not sell a green one for 2 years. I finally removed the green covers, replaced them with white and sold it quickly. That was back when a fully restored stove was selling for 1200 bucks. Back then, folks were not wanting to paint or remodel the whole kitchen to match a stove. This Board has proved that today's buyers WILL remodel half the house to make their stove fit in and be the focal point of the home! As a matter of fact, Randie and I redesigned our kitchen around a vintage stove.

The initial reason I was so attracted to the Chambers Range was the design. I had been looking at vintage stoves for a client, a kitchen re-design and all the old stoves were visually very appealing. Yet, they were so similar. Unless you were a true officiando of vintage stoves, one looked like the next with minor distinctions. The Chambers on the other hand truly stood out and stood alone as ModernAge Machine. Me buying the Chambers was truly based on impulse far more than need. The design statement made by the Chambers range is every bit legitimate and powerful as the legendary cooking and baking prowess of these ranges. To have a Chambers Range in your kitchen is quite a powerful statement and, having designed enough kitchens for very demanding home owners, I believe the vintage Chambers offers, in all ways, just what the highend appliance buyer is seeking...but most current buyers feel compelled to purchse the new, current and recognizeable names. And the new ones simply are erzatz replicas of the real thing ! Now that our Chambers is in place, the refrigerator looks so out of place... soon it too will be replaced by the appropriate vintage model.

Uncertain... can you tell me what you think a venta hood like this one should go for? I know her price for both and I am trying to compare her price (for the stove alone) to what I paid for mine. They are in comparable condition.

Stoveman, I'm sorry to hear about the poor green stove that became white. I agree that the yellow is great, by the way. What did you ever do with the green panels?

According to Randie, I never get rid of anything. Pretty sure I have them in storage somewhere, just waiting for a motivated buyer.

Well, my green stove currently has intact porcelaiin. My yellow stove, now that's a different story. You don't happen to have any yellows, do you?
